Family Literacy Program

The Family Literacy Program prepares parents to balance work and family. Parents pursue their educational and career goals while learning to be their child's first teacher.

Specific goals of the Family Literacy Program include:

  • Preparation in workplace success skills
  • Strengthened family management and parenting skills
  • Increased learning success for all children in the family

The Family Literacy Program helps parents work on basic educational skills and complete GEDs, learn about family management and parenting, and develop work skills. Whenever possible, lessons are about real-life situations you would find in the home or on the job.
