Basic Skills Class Schedule

Basic Studies - Port Angeles Main Campus
Location: 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Room H-2. *Note evening class location below.

ADULT BASIC EDUCATION Small groups, individualized instruction, tutoring, and hands-on learning experiences provide basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, work-and-study, and basic computer skills.

GED READING Prepares students to take Social Studies, Science, and Literature and Arts sections of GED test.

GED WRITING Prepares students to take Writing Skills section of GED test. Includes sentence structure, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and essay writing.

GED MATHEMATICS Prepares students to take Mathematics section of GED. Includes fractions, decimals, percents, algebra, and geometry.

COLLEGE TRANSITION Designed for students who struggled in school and are planning to enroll in college next quarter. This five-week preparation for College Learning Skills assists with handling tough readings, higher math, formal communication, and with accessing computer resources.
