C-Y 005 PADDLE ON!
Designed to introduce youth to what the Canoe Journey is, why it began, and the significance of it today. Hear from local tribal members on how their tribe prepares for the journey and what it means to them. Learn the significance of the paddle, and have the opportunity to paint a miniature version with the assistance of local tribal artists. It will be a journey rich with culture and hands-on experiences, sure to leave a lasting impression on all who participate.

C-Y 025 COMPUTER GAME ANIMATION
Learn to use the FPS Creator software built by thegamemakers.com, and the gamemaker software to create your own First Person Shooter (FPS) and 2-D games. Students will receive a licensed full version of FPS Creator to use and take home. Create your own game that your friends can download and play. Requirements: Need to like to play video games.

This class will focus on basic animation and animating concepts, such as key framing and movement. Class will use the Pivot Stick Figure animator and other simple tools to create basic animations. Basic computer skills handy but not required. Class will be taught in a light-natured learn-by-example format.

Learn basic digital camera and composition skills. Use your digital camera to capture photographs and manipulate them with computer software. Post slideshow of photographs on the internet. Students should bring a digital camera, transfer cord, and user guide to class.

C-Y 030 SELF DEFENSE - TEEN GIRL
Students will learn basic awareness and risk reduction education through this fun and interactive training. General safety topics include school safety, home safety, and out-and-about safety. Come practice how to avoid risky situations as well as learn the basics of hands-on defense training. This class is for girls only!

Learn how to take the "lead" in helping the injured in an emergency situation until professionally trained personnel arrives. Students will become First Aid and CPR certified, learn the right way to use ace bandages, when not to move a patient, how to treat a patient in a variety of weather, and much more.

This class will focus on basic elements of web design with the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and basic elements of CSS. Students will build a basic website on a subject of their choosing.
