C-H 031 NATURAL PERFUMES

Learn the basics of creating a natural perfume. Like music to the soul, paint upon a canvas, teh aroma of fresh leaves, trees, and precious flower petals, will help you create your own natural fragrance. Materials are inluded in class fee.

Begin with the basics of aromatherapy. Come prepared to take a fragrant journey and learn about aromatic essences extracted from plants, trees, and flowers around the world.

S-H 018 BALANCE AND FITNESS

This is fitness and balance exercises for the unexercised; a fun and rewarding class. One hour classes twice a week include a warm-up and gentle exercise for balance, health, and stretching.

Chair or "Supported" Yoga allows one to learn the yoga poses easily and comfortably. We will develop strength, flexibility, balance, and new breath techniques. No prior Yoga experience needed. Bring Yoga sticky mat, blanket, and strap.

S-H 027 STRENGTH & REJUVENATION

Research has shown that strength training can turn back the biological clock. Two days per week can help you gain strength, bone density, balance, flexibility, vitality, energy, and enjoyment in life's activities. Learn basics of strength training and many other ways to reverse the aging process. Suggested reading: Strong Women Stay Young by Miriamm E. Nelson, Ph.D. Instructor is certified by the ACSM as a personal trainer.

S-H 028 BEGINNING TAI CHI

This class is for beginning Tai Chi students. Tai Chi is an ancient form of Chinese exercise and self-defense designed to improve physical health, decrease stress, and bring unity to mind, body and spirit. Tai Chi uses martial arts movements performed very slowly in order to improve balance coordination and strength. It is often called "moving meditation." Tai Chi is a beautiful flowing set of exercises that improves flexibility, coordination, balance and cardiovascular fitness.

S-H 029 TAI CHI

This class is for students that have taken the Beginning Tai Chi class. Tai Chi is an ancient form of Chinese exercise designed to improve physical health and decrease stress. Performing martial arts movements very slowly, Tai Chi is a great way to improve flexibility, coordination, balance and cardiovascular fitness for all ages and abilities. This class allows students to follow the entire form each class and then focus on individual practice.

Practicing Yoga improves strength and flexibility while reducing stress and improving overall physical and mental well-being. No prior experience is necessary for this introduction to the balancing and relaxing benefits of yoga.

We will explore basic yoga techniques for stress reduction, and to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and body awareness. This class is not designed or appropriate for students who have limited mobility or balance instability. Please check with your health care professional before starting any exercise or yoga program. Bring yoga sticky mat and two firm blankets.
