Do you need to find some information, wherever it may be located? Librarians are available in the Reference Services area to help you locate information, design efficient research strategies, select appropriate information resources (print or electronic), interpret reference works, or search the World Wide Web. You may request reference assistance online by email or by our Web-based information query. REFERENCE COLLECTION Reference sources are generally characterized as "tools" for accessing information quickly. They typically provide brief, factual information, introductions to subjects, or access to sources of information outside the Reference Collection. Reference sources include fact tools and finding tools. Fact tools provide concise information, (e.g., directories, handbooks, encyclopedias); finding tools identify sources of information, (e.g., indexes, abstracts). Reference sources do not circulate.
