Do you need a book or a journal article and the Peninsula College Library Media Center doesn’t have it? Don’t give up! InterLibrary Loan (ILL) is how we get materials for you that we do not own. Use one of the following request forms if you wish to request a book or a periodical article from another library
How long does it take? The turnaround time on an ILL request is usually seven-ten days for a periodical article and one-two weeks for a book. There is normally no cost associated with this service. However, a few lending libraries, primarily major academic institutions, are now charging a service fee. If there is a fee attached to your request, we’ll ask you first!

You can request an InterLibrary Loan via the Web, by FAX, mail, or in person:
Web Requests
If you wish to submit an interlibrary loan request via the Web, use either the ILL Book Request Form or Article Request Form that are available at the LMC website. Fill out these forms completely for each item you are ordering.
FAX Requests
Fill out an ILL request form and FAX to (360) 417-6295. The FAX machine is left on 24 hours per day to receive transmissions, which are handled on the next working day.
In-Person Requests
ILL request forms may be picked up and dropped off at the circulation counter in the Library/Media Center on the Port Angeles campus. Fill out the ILL form as accurately and completely as possible. The request form must be legibly printed or typed in dark ink. Incomplete or illegible forms cannot be processed. A separate request form for each item (book, article) is required. It is recommended that you retain a copy of every ILL request.
