Program Philosophy
Preschoolers are creative, joyful, explorers. We understand that explorative and cooperative play is essential for their learning. A wide variety of developmentally appropriate activities, including music, art, science, pre-reading, math, social interactions, and dramatic play are offered. Daily outdoor play is also an essential part of our program. Our program is run on guidelines established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Children ages 3 (by Sept. 1) through 5 years old. Parents will participate in the classroom three times per month.
Scholarships are available from both our
cooperative and from Peninsula College Parent Advisory Council.

9:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Circle Time
9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Choice Time
10:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Clean Up/Story Time
10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Snack Time
11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Outdoor or Large Motor Activities
11:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Closing Circle
Parent Involvement
Parents are an essential part of our program. The Peninsula Cooperative Preschool is a nonprofit organization operated by parents who have children enrolled in the program. Co-op parents work in the classroom about three days per month and attend monthly parent education meetings. Parents are also required to help with fundraising and are asked to take on a task that helps the preschool run smoothly. Parents receive college credit from Peninsula College.
