     Alison Crumb enters her third year as head coach for the Pirate women’s basketball program where she began her collegiate campaign following an outstanding career as a Port Angeles Roughrider. She played two years for the Pirates, leading them to Peninsula’s only division championship in women’s sports in 2005, when she set a school record for assists. She went on to play at Western Oregon University where she got her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. She returned to Peninsula as an assistant coach under Julie Stewart and was then promoted to the head coaching position when coach Stewart stepped down. In addition to coaching the Pirates, Alison works as an educational planner.

     Suzanna Dean joins the Pirate women’s coaching staff this year. Dean, who played for the Pirates from 2004-2006, was a teammate of Coach Crumb when the Pirates won the North Division in 2005. She was a tremendous rebounder and was most known for her defense and work ethic. Dean was a 2004 graduate of Clallam Bay High School where she was a basketball, volleyball and track standout. Dean earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Peninsula in 2007 and, in addition to coaching for the Pirates, is employed by Fiesta Jalisco, a Port Angeles Mexican restaurant.
