career-oriented and financial, for students and the community.
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)
DVR helps individuals with disabilities to obtain and keep employment.
The disability can be either physical or mental health in nature. Staff
provides assessment, counseling, and guidance to support a client’s
specific vocational goal. Services provided may include assistance with

Clallam County Career Development Center (CCCDC)
Services include job search assistance, financial assistance for individuals
in vocational training, on-the-job training opportunities, work experience
opportunities, and customized training. For individuals enrolled in
programs administered through this office, there is also a limited
amount of support services available (help with everyday living expenses,
car repair, food, etc.). Core services are available to the general

Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS): Community Service Office
(CSO)
DSHS offers a variety of programs and services to help families and individuals
with specialized needs. Services include childcare assistance, temporary
assistance for needy families (TANF), medical assistance, food assistance,

Employment Security Department (ESD)
Employment Security Department supports workers during times of unemployment,
connecting job seekers with employers, and assisting with skills assessment,
resume
writing,
electronic resumes, job search techniques, labor market research, interviewing,
and providing resources such as computers, software, fax machines, copiers,

North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center
The Skills Center provides an opportunity for students between the ages
of 16 to 21 to receive career training as part of their public education

Northwest Services Council (NSC)
Northwest Services Council is a federally funded, private, nonprofit
agency, which offers employment and training services to youth and
young adults ages 16-24. Services range from training
in job search skills to skills training classes, tuition assistance,
and on-the-job training. NSC also administers the Clallam AmeriCorps
program. In exchange for 11 months of full-time service as tutors/mentors
working with at-risk youth in local schools or social service agencies,
AmeriCorps members earn a biweekly stipend. Upon completion of their services, members recieve an
education award to pay for college or vocational training or to repay
