Additional Funding Resources

If you need financial assistance, there are funding sources which you may be eligible for while attending Peninsula College. Research the web sites below for more information:

Community Resources
Peninsula College has partnerships with several organizations that provide financial and career resources for students and community members. These include the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Employment Security Department, Clallam County Career Development Center, Department of Social and Health Services, Northwest Services Council, and the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center. Click here for Community Resources.

Scholarships at Peninsula College
Peninsula College awards a number of scholarships from institutional funds and has entered into partnerships with a number of local, state, and national donors, making merit-based funds available to students. Current scholarships are posted at the Financial Aid Office on the Port Angeles campus.

Scholarship Info on the Internet
The World Wide Web is a good source for scholarship information. Use a search engine to start a scholarship search or start with the suggestions listed here.

Veterans’ Services
All degree and certificate programs offered at Peninsula College are approved for benefits under all current Veterans' Services. Monthly educational benefit payments are considered nontaxable income and are paid on the basis of satisfactory progress and training time.

WorkFirst
Peninsula College's WorkFirst programs offer a variety of services that help low-income community members get the education and training they need to get and keep living-wage jobs. WorkFirst can assist persons who may already be working but need more skills, need tuition and book funding, need a GED, or need short-term training leading to job interviews. Individuals on TANF who are seeking a Work Study job may also be eligible.

Worker Retraining
The Worker Retraining Program at Peninsula College is designed to provide instruction and training that can lead to family-wage employment. If you are enrolling in a Professional and Technical program and are (or have been) receiving unemployment benefits, you may be eligible for Worker Retraining Financial Aid. Possible forms of aid include tuition and books, child care, and transportation.
